Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back. This is part two. We're running into another episode of Rachel Risk. How are you and tell everybody, remind everybody who you are but, more importantly, what you do today?
Speaker 2:I'm so wonderful. Thank you so much again, Baz. My name is Rachel Risk. I'm a life and confidence coach. I actually work with men and women. I have one-on-one programs as well as group programs. I guess my goal is to bring people to calm, clarity and confidence.
Speaker 1:I love that Calm, clarity and confidence. Where did you come up with it? Because I know the answer but the audience doesn't. Where did you come up with it and the reason behind it?
Speaker 2:I think, where I came up with it. I think life is short and I think one of the key things that we need in life is peace and clarity and confidence. I actually put confidence quite a bit higher than a few other things, because if you have high confidence means that you have both. If you have a high confidence, it means that you have both self-acceptance as well as self-awareness. You have a lower stress level and a higher ability to ask for what you want. Find your voice and go out there and be bold. I've always learned that fortune favors the bold. I've always learned that fortune favors the bold. Also, again, if you have confidence and self-acceptance, my little line if it's not okay, it'll all be okay in the end. If it's not okay, that journey to the end, which in my mind, is joy and doing something that makes you personally feel joyful and happy and purposeful, not what somebody else thinks. So I guess that's where it comes from.
Speaker 1:I love that. What has been the biggest factor of people coming towards you and what are their normal challenges when they first come to you?
Speaker 2:Well, let me just share. Actually, first of all, I call my framework, it's called Reclaim, and it's called Reclaim because I firmly believe that we have what we need inside of us and what we're doing actually through reclaim is just shedding those things that erode our confidence, our purpose, our joy or happiness over time. But I think people come to me for a whole host of reasons, right, but I think that the most common one, what I said, is that they've reached 40, 50 or whatever, and though they may have a good job, a husband, wife or somebody, kids, nice house, all like the outside trappings of success, inside they're overwhelmed, filled with self-doubt, they're stressed or burnt out and they really don't have a purpose right. So they do not have a driving force and when you don't have that, it's very difficult to have joy. I guess through my program we and, by the way, my program is not like some surface level program and stuff like where you learn this and learn that and then your life is great it's about let's go deep and strip away again those things that hold us back.
Speaker 2:I have a three-phase program starts with release right, which is where, like we're doing that right, where we get rid of our triggers our negative self-talk, our energy drainers which we all have, whether they're home or at work our professionism, our overthinking, overthinking, imposter syndrome. And so we let that go right. So it's not like a forceful, we just let that go. And then the second phase is actually called rise. Right, we're building our confidence, our boundaries and our clarity. Through all that obviously comes calm. Third phase is reclaim, where we're taking all that obviously comes calm. Third phase is reclaim, where we're taking all that our newfound confidence, boundaries and calm and clarity and aligned habits right. How we live today is what our habits are and we move forward into again our definition of a successful, happy life. But yeah, so most people come to me overwhelmed and overburdened and so much so and stuff. It's hard to think about much else.
Speaker 1:I think that's all very true and also I think your program delivers a lot of what people are seeking. Now, how did you come to devise the program and also what were the defining factors for you to put it all together and say this is what people are looking for, this is what I want to deliver to the world? How did that all come together?
Speaker 2:I think it all came together probably now, about three or four years ago. I think it came together probably now about three or four years ago. I actually started out as a health and weight loss coach women only and so I'd help people and stuff with that, right. But I very quickly found out that the key issue was actually not health or weight loss, it was stress. I turned myself into a stress coach. I found out through that the key problem was confidence and lack of purpose. So this is how I evolved.
Speaker 2:But I guess one of the things also that I am is efficient and raw and authentic, right. So I always like to bring people not through a long process of just like to give them only what they need and only that. But I form my program. Base is what I went through, right. So this is not something new, right. This is something that I put myself through as I changed my program and refine it. It's based on either me or the folks that I have helped. So it's a proven program and I am actually one of the results of it.
Speaker 2:So I want strength and resilience and joy, and I guess life gets hard, right. I want people to be able to get through the hard times and not just get through, but get through with hope and joy, knowing, like I said, I'll be okay in the end. Stuck when I say stuck, it means that they are no longer moving forward. They don't like where they're at, they don't know where to go or they're afraid to step forward. They certainly don't want to go back, and so they become stuck. And as you get stuck you probably know this, know this your physical state, right like you, tend to gain all sorts of weight or get unhealthier. Your stress goes up, your mental state is getting down or stressed or overwhelmed, filled with self-doubt. I guess what I like to do is encourage movement through life. That's what I learned. Yeah, I've actually helped out countless people, so you know folks don't want to be stuck anymore. Life is short.
Speaker 1:I love that and yes, you are completely right, life is too short. No-transcript, un or rewire the conditioning in people so they can create that change. But more importantly, how does it last?
Speaker 2:how does it last? I think the only way it can last is if you go deep down to the core and acknowledge it and obviously change habits. So what? How? My coaching is we're basically we. I like to use the word curiosity, right, so we are. We are the only expert on us. I am not the expert on you or on whoever I work with, so you are the expert of you.
Speaker 2:What I do is I share something that has helped me and countless other people in idea and we, through my coaching, either group or one-on-one, explore that and get curious, without judgment, and notice what we do, what we think, how we react, how we respond to things as we notice them. It's just folks come to me and say I'm broken, right, but all they are is patterned and we can change the pattern once we know what it is. So I guess a core tenet of what I teach is to notice ourselves with curiosity and not judgment, and then we change it at the core and it becomes easier, right, because, again, the primary state of all people is healthy and happy. So what we're doing is we're I like to call it letting go of things that do not serve us, whether it's actions, habits or beliefs or thoughts or, unfortunately, work environments or people or whatever else, and then I call it that we're getting rid of our shroud and, as our confidence builds up, people have the confidence right to peek out and see wow, there's a whole world out there full of love and happiness and joy, and they start to let themselves.
Speaker 2:And I guess I have another word I use. I think that we often hold ourselves back the most. I talk about in my coaching a concept of allowing ourselves and giving ourselves permission, and one thing that I use, which folks used to say that you are the permission slip right, nobody else, so you are all that you need. If you say, yes, go do it, nobody has to hold you back.
Speaker 1:I love that.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:I love what you're doing here as well. Where can people find you if they want to get hold of you, if they want to check out what you do? And obviously LinkedIn is there. Anywhere else you'd like to send them?
Speaker 2:Though I do have a website. It's not fully up to date, so I'm not sure if I want to share that, but LinkedIn certainly and stuff, and I actually will have a website up or updated soon. Awesome, and it's rachel r-a-c-h-a-e-l last name r-e s-k-r-e-s-k rachel, you've been amazing.
Speaker 1:Is there any last thoughts or tips, advice you'd like to share with the audience before we depart today?
Speaker 2:I think I want to tell people that if you're in a rough spot we all have seasons of life and you two will get through this. You've got it and you are not alone I love that that's what I want to end with I love that.
